Who We Serve

The Women’s Resource Center (WRC) seeks to be a primary network of resources for all women on campus. As a Student Affiars office we work to collaborate with offices on campus in order to have the necessary knowledge to assist student, staff and faculty with appropriate resources. The WRC offers scholarships and financial assistance, counseling for individuals and couples (for U of U students, staff and faculty), support groups for women on and off campus as well as opportunities to volunteer and get involved.

Other areas of focus include: 1) Go Girlz, a program to reach middle and high school girls from underrepresented communities & provide the necessary knowledge and support to get them interested and prepared to attend college; 2) Violence against women is an area we are committed to by working to raise awareness on our campus and collaborating with other offices to create a safe learning environment for our students, staff and faculty; 3) We are engaged in Social Justice work to help end racism, sexism, homophobia and all other biases that may lead to violence, intimidation and threat on our campus.
