National Paper-Based
Testing Service
Explanation of Service:
National Paper-Based Tests are those
for which you pre-register with a national organization, and which are given on
paper instead of computer. Generally these tests are used for
college entrance or professional certification.
The registration packets for
some of the more common college entrance tests that fall into this
category are located in the lobby of the Testing
Center, but it is often possible to simply register on a particular test's
website. For professional certification tests, you can generally obtain registration information from your
employer or your professional association.
Test dates vary per test. Most are offered one or more times during the year on a Saturday morning. Plan to register early. Most tests have a registration deadline.
Location:
National Paper-Based tests are administered in a variety of buildings on campus, depending upon what is needed for a particular test on a particular date. Once you have
registered for a test, and have received your confirmation letter back, check your admission ticket to
find the name of the building to which you have been assigned. Then, on the day of the test, go to that building.
Your room assignment will be posted
at the main entrance.
Hours of Operation:
Testing is generally conducted on Saturday mornings. Check the registration bulletin of
your particular test for exact times and dates.
