Veterans who have served at least 181 days of active duty are eligible to receive four lower-division (undergraduate) hours of Military Service Credit from the University of Utah. All prior active duty servicepersons and most Reserve and National Guard servicepersons qualify.
These four hours do not fill any requirement, but they can count towards the 122 hours required for graduation.
The VA requires that all eligible veterans claim these credit hours in order to receive VA educational benefits.
- Please complete a Request for Military Service Credit.
- With the request, please provide a copy of your DD-214, RPAM, LES or other verification that you have 181 or more days of active duty service.
**Military Service Credit granted at another school does not transfer to the University of Utah.
