REGISTRATION PROCEDURES
Registration Date:
If you are a continuing student at the university, register during your scheduled registration time. Check your registration appointment (date and time) by accessing the Campus Information System and clicking on, "View Your Registration Dates."
Orientations:
If you are a first time student to the university or an incoming transfer student, you must attend a new student orientation session prior to registering for classes. Contact the Office of Orientation and New Student Programs.
Registration Deadlines:
Register for term-length and first session classes using the Campus Information System until the 14th calendar day of the semester. You should register for second session classes during your scheduled registration time.
To determine registration deadlines for workshops and other miscellaneous classes, contact the Registration Division at 581-8969.
If you have not previously registered for the term, registration for first session and term-length classes is not permitted after the census date.
Additional registration deadlines are published in the online Academic Calendars.
Tuition Non-Payment:
If you do not pay your tuition by the due date, your classes will be cancelled. Students who have classes deleted due to non-payment may not reinstate cancelled classes or use late add forms to add classes after the registration deadline. See Tuition for more information.
Permission Numbers:
If a class is full, contact the course instructor. If the instructor determines that space is available, the instructor can issue a permission number to register for the class. Permission numbers are also required to add classes beginning the second week of the semester. Contact the course instructor to request a permission number.
Credit Hour Limits:
The Campus Information System limits student registration to 19 credit hours until the open enrollment period begins. At that time, undergraduate students can register for up to 24 credit hours online. If you need to register for more than 24 credit hours, contact the Registration Division at 581-8969 after open enrollment begins.
CR/NC Option:
A credit/no credit grading option is available. To learn more, see credit/no credit grading.
Non-Credit Classes:
If you are an admitted student who would like to register for a non-credit, lifelong learning class, etc., you must have a non-credit career on your record. If you need to add a non-credit career, visit the Campus Information System, select the link "Add a Non-Credit Career to my Record" and follow the online instructions. Once you have a non-credit career, access the Campus Information System, click the link "Add Classes," then select the non-credit career option.
If you have not been admitted to the university and would like to register for a non-credit class or other courses offered through Continuing Education, visit the Continuing Education Website.
Scheduling Changes:
Classroom assignments may change between the time you register and when classes begin. Be sure to check your class schedule for the latest meeting time and classroom location information before attending class.
