Hello, I’m Doctor Jerry Basford.

I moved to Sandy, Utah in 1998 with my wife, Jacalyn, my daughters, Jennifer and Jocolyn, and my son Joshua, to fill the Senior Financial Analyst position in Administrative Services at the University of Utah. After nearly five years in the Vice President of Administrative Service’s office I decided to broaden my professional wings and accepted the position of Assistant to the Vice President for Student Affairs. After about two years at that position I was offered and accepted the position of Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs-Business and Auxiliary Services eventually becoming the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs. That is my current administrative position at the “U”. In addition I have been an adjunct professor, teaching Personal Finance since 1999 and teach an occassional class for Continuing Education in Accounting and Finance.

My hobbies include riding Harleys, fishing, reading, and umpiring fast-pitch softball.
