We’d like to invite you to attend an Orientation program June 18-19 designed specifically for students who plan to study in the Colleges of Science, Mines and Earth Sciences, Engineering, or are looking to go to Medical School (pre med) with an undergraduate degree from one of these colleges.
The University of Utah provides students who study science and engineering many opportunities to explore and develop their interests. As a Research Extensive Institution, the University of Utah is on the cutting edge of advancements in all fields, especially the sciences and engineering. We are home to world-renowned professors including a Nobel Laureate; we have graduated the founders of some of the most innovative technology companies, and helped in the advancement of medical practices. As a student in the College of Mines and Earth Sciences, Science, or Engineering, you too can be a part of the groundbreaking research taking place.
This Orientation provides you with an opportunity to connect with your specific college and exposes you to the many educational avenues available to you at the U. You will meet with an academic advisor who will help you set your first semester schedule. You will also be able to participate in activities and lab tours sponsored by your college and interact with professors and students from the University of Utah.
