What is Ask a Health Educator?Ask a Health Educator is a health Q&A resource offered by the Office of Health Promotion at the University of Utah Student Health Center. This services offers 3 features:

Mission StatementThe mission of Ask a Health Educator is to provide an anonymous internet Q&A resource to University of Utah students on any aspect of health. We hope to provide accurate and reliable information from health care professionals including: doctors, psychologists, nurse practitioners, registered nurses and health educators. We hope our service encourages students to make educated, responsible decisions in regards to their personal health care. |
What types of questions does the health educator answer?Ask a Health Educator answers ANYTHING from condoms to strep throat and everything in between. We will work hard to find an answer to every health related question we receive. For any question not related to health, we will refer you to the correct campus resources. |
What happens when the information changes?We will work hard to ensure the information we submit is accurate and up to date. Our health care team will undergo a review process of the material every few months. Any updated content will be posted on our Ask a Health Educator home page. |
Who can ask questions?Ask a Health Educator is a service intended primarily for University of Utah students but we will answer ANY question we receive. All questions are read and all will be either answered of posted on the web site, or referred out to other resources. Inquiries to Ask a Health Educator are anonymous. E-mail addresses are electronically scrambled prior to reaching the mail boxes of our staff. |
Who answers the questions?Ask a Health Educator questions are answered by the Student Health Center and the University Counseling Center. Our team includes doctors, psychologists, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, health educators, and counselors. Questions are also researched through professional health-related organizations from around the world and from scholarly journals. |

You can also go to the Office of Health Promotion located in the Student Health Center and speak to a health educator directly or call one of its staff members. |
NOTEAsk a Health Educator will answer questions submitted within a two week period. The Office of Health Promotion reserves the right to post all questions on our web site anonymously as a means of information to other University of Utah students.
