Application Process for Global Health Programs
- Students must submit a complete application, including a personal statement describing how the program suits your academic and personal goals and 2-3 paragraphs describing how you cope in stressful situations, one academic letter of reference, and a photocopy of the identification page in your passport.
- For University of Utah applicants, the application and $500 initial program payment should be presented or mailed to the Cashier's Window, 165 Student Services Building. (Please be sure to include your U of U ID number). The cashier will issue a receipt and stamp your application "Paid." Return the application materials to the International Center.
- For applicants from other universities and institutions, the application and $500 initial program payment should be mailed or faxed directly to the International Center. Please make the check payable to the "University of Utah" or phone in to make a credit card payment.
- All applications will be reviewed by the Program Director and International Center staff to determine eligibility. Applicants may also be interviewed by the Program Director.
- Additional materials, including payment schedule and orientation information, will subsequently be emailed to all participants.
- If an applicant is determined ineligible for program participation the $500 payment will be refunded in full.
