"Go Global" is an area in the Sage Point residence hall where people from all around the world and from the U.S. will live together and learn from each other about their cultures. Activities (including special meals, film nights, visits to classes with an international focus, and trips to interesting places in Utah) will provide a special environment for making new global friends. If you are from the U.S., Go Global will be an opportunity for you to expand your international horizonswithout leaving campus. Learning and living in a cross-cultural environment will not only help you build new friendships, but will also be great preparation for future international living and working opportunities. If you are an international student, Go Global will help you make the most of your stay in Utah. Living with other international students and with American students who are interested in learning more about your culture will give you a strong sense of being at home in Utah. Being at the center of the U's international community will provide you with opportunities to share your knowledge and experienceand teach people about your home country. To apply for your room in the residence halls, contact the U of U Office of Residential Living. For more information on the Go Global program, contact Anjali Hammond, Coordinator, Student and Community Outreach Programs, at ahammond@sa.utah.edu. |
