International students, here is an opportunity for you to get acquainted with an American family. This will allow you to experience American culture from the perspective of an American family. The International Center will connect you with a friendship family. Then you and your "adopted" family can plan events and engage in typical American activities together.

The International Center provides two activities for you, a Friendship Family Social in the fall and International Night in the spring. In addition, your Friendship Family will invite you to socialize with them once each semester or more. You might be able to:

Enjoy American holidays with your host family.
Learn about their traditions and values.
Share your country and culture with your Friendship Family.

Your host family will be interested in learning about you and your home country. Some international students have developed lifelong and beneficial relationships with their Utah host families.

You, too, can have unique and special experiences by taking advantage of this opportunity.
