ABOUT THE INTERNATIONAL LEADERSHIP ACADEMY (ILA)

The International Leadership Academy (ILA) is a collaborative effort between several departments and colleges such as the Honors College and the Hinckley Institute, and is coordinated through the International Center. The course is designed to complement any major, allowing the student participants to add an international dimension to their chosen field of study and develop them as successful international leaders. The ILA is designed for undergraduates in any major with a strong interest in international issues and global leadership.

The ILA is an interdisciplinary seminar that meets once a week to help prepare students for leadership in an increasingly global environment. The 3-credit-hour seminar is conducted during the Spring Semester with the possibility of a summer international experience.

The Academy model is based on the Academy for Future International Leaders at Texas A&M where they celebrated their 10th Anniversary of the Academy in 2007.

Texas A&M Academy

The University of Utah looks forward to continued collaboration with Texas A&M between the students and faculty of both Academy programs.
