Outstanding high school students, who demonstrate academic excellence and service to school and community.

Students apply for a General (Freshman) Scholarship through the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office, where they are selected from the merit based freshman application pool of Honors at Entrance candidates.

Nonresident entering freshmen, who currently reside in a area where there is an Alumni Association chapter or contact person and to legacy students (children of parents or grandparents who attended the University of Utah). For current chapter locations, go to www.alumni.utah.edu. Other nonresident high school seniors may also apply.
Application:
Scholarship applications must be submitted to respective chapter presidents or the Alumni Association by March 1. Applications are available at www.alumni.utah.edu/scholarships. Scholarship applicants should also apply for admission to the University of Utah by the preferred filing date of December 15.
