HONORS AT ENTRANCE SCHOLARSHIP

Honors at Entrance Scholarship Information:

Available to:

Seniors of an accredited Utah high school, public or private, who will be entering freshmen. Recipients are chosen by University committee. In order to apply, the student must meet one or several of the following criteria:

            - Be a National Merit Finalist and have a converted SAT or ACT

composite score of 28 or higher.

            - Have a 3.9 or higher high school GPA.

            - Have an Admissions Index of 128 or higher. (See the Admissions

Index chart to determine your personal Admissions Index.) The

Admissions Index gives equal weight to both GPA and ACT/SAT

scores. The University considers your GPA from at least grades 9

through 11, and test results from the ACT or SAT, taken in either

the junior or senior year. Selection of candidates depends upon

ranking based on the University’s Scholarship Index, a more

accurate measure of ability than the Admissions Index.

Application:

The admission and scholarship application process must be completed by February 1, 2008. Eligible students are encouraged to apply for admission by December 15, 2007. It is the responsibility of the student to ensure that all required documents are on file at the University by the deadline.
