TOP TEN SCHOLARSHIP

Top Ten Scholarship Information:

Available to:

High school seniors graduating in the top ten percent of their high school graduating class in 2008. Seniors must be Utah residents and entering the University of Utah Fall Semester 2008.

Application:

Students do not apply for this scholarship but are nominated by their high school principals, who forward the names of the top ten percent of all graduating seniors of their high school to the University of Utah Admissions Office. In the case that the principal of a high school elects not to send such a list, students are advised to obtain a letter of certification from their high school counselors, written on school letterhead, certifying that they will graduate in the top ten percent of their high school class. Then, students should submit this letter with their application for admission, following published procedures.

Value & Renewal:

Recipients must maintain a 3.2 GPA, and complete 24 hours of coursework to renew this waiver in the amount of $750 for the second year.  It cannot be renewed thereafter.

Special Conditions:

Students may receive only one University of Utah tuition waiver scholarship. Should a student receive more than one such waiver, s(he) may accept the waiver of greatest value.
