StarImportant Information about Financial Aid Exemptions:

Regardless of a student's financial aid file status,

students are responsibile to ensure that their

tuition charges are paid by the appropriate deadline!

Aid not disbursed by the end of the respective

term of enrollment may be subject to cancellation.

Beginning Fall Semester 2004 all Graduate Students, including Law and Medical Students, are subject to the University of Utah’s new tuition policy.  This policy has been in effect for Undergraduate Students since Fall of 2003.  All Graduate and Undergraduate students who fail to pay tuition by the scheduled tuition deadline will have their classes cancelled.  This means that the classes you have registered for will be deleted from your academic record.

Financial Aid Exemptions

As of 2005, student’s whose FAFSA information has been received by the University of Utah more than 120 days prior to the first day of classes and whose files do not have accepted awards for that term will have their classes dropped.  Student’s whose FAFSA information has been received less than 30 days prior to the first day of classes and whose files do not have accepted awards for that term will have their classes dropped.   Student’s whose valid FAFSA information has been received between 30 and 120 days before the first day of classes will have their classes held regardless of the status of the financial aid file.  However, the student will receive a late fee and will be unable to register for the next semester until all tuition and fees are paid.
