TERM COMPLETION STANDARD

Required Standard:

Students must complete at least one course during a semester in which financial aid is received.

            -    Quantitative standards involve comparing attempted and completed credit hours. For

                  the purposes of this policy, completed courses are those for which a grade is

                 assigned of A through D-, and credit grades (CR). Attempted, but not completed,

                 grades include E, EU, W, I, NC, T, Repeated Courses, blank grades, or any other

                 grade which indicates unsatisfactory academic performance.

            -   A graduate student who registers only for a thesis course during a semester, and

                receives a "T" grade for this course, will be excluded from this policy. Approved thesis

                courses are those numbered 6970, 6980, 7920, 7970, and 7980 .

            -    A student who registers for a political internship course will be allowed to receive a

                 "T" for this course, and not be considered in violation of the semester completion

                 standard.

            -    A student who receives financial aid and withdraws completely from all courses

                 attempted during a semester will be considered in violation of this SAT standard.
