Psychiatry Residency
Letter from the Assistant Director of Training
March 5, 2009
Dear Psychiatric Resident,
We appreciate your interest in the residency rotation at the University Counseling Center (UCC). As you can see from various links within UCC's website, we are a multi-disciplinary, comprehensive, outpatient mental health agency serving University students, staff, and faculty.
We also are a major training center attracting Psychiatric Residents, Psychology Interns, and Social Work interns locally and nationally. Our site is a particularly good fit for Residents wishing to develop and refine their psychotherapy skills.
We typically place two part-time psychiatry residents each year. We are pleased to have Dr. Gagandeep Singh as our Attending Psychiatrist. If you are considering PGY3 or PGY4 placement opportunities, please contact Dr. Meredith Alden, Director of Residency Training, at (801) 581-4096. If you would like to know more about the agency or visit our facilities, please call me at (801) 581-6826 or email me at gellingson@sa.utah.edu.
Sincerely,
A. Glade Ellingson,
Ph.D.
