General Commencement
Commencement Ceremony: Friday, May 7, 2010
Line-up at 8:00 a.m. |
Candidates for graduation should plan to arrive in cap and gown by 8 a.m. in the parking lot south of Milton Bennion Hall. Staff members from Student Affairs will be on hand to assist candidates and to provide the Program of the Day. Bookstore representatives will also be available to help with caps and gowns. The Commencement procession into the Huntsman Center will consist of four separate lines and will begin at 8:20 a.m. Candidates for graduation must remain in the appropriate line during the procession to ensure proper seating. At the conclusion of Commencement, candidates will exit as directed up the stairs in the Huntsman Center. You may wish to arrange in advance to meet your guests outside the Center, at one of the numbered concourse areas. |
Rainy Day Plan |
In case of inclement weather, undergraduate candidates will go directly to their seats in the Huntsman Center as designated in the Program of the Day distributed at the door. Candidates for master’s and doctoral degrees will be seated in chairs on the playing floor. |
What guests should know |
Guests should plan to be seated before 8:30 a.m. and may take seats of their choice in any area of the Huntsman Center except those reserved for the candidates for graduation. Invitations are not required to attend Commencement. At the conclusion of the exercises, guests may meet the candidates for graduation as outlined above. |
