Our Mission
Since the inception of the Bennion Center in 1987, students from all parts of the world, walks of life and areas of study have played a part in the center. The Alumni Program’s mission is to reconnect alumni to the Bennion Center, providing opportunities to sustain and strengthen the ideals and practices of lifelong service and civic engagement developed through the Bennion Center experience. In addition to staying in contact, the Alumni Program also serves as a means of support for the Bennion Center as it continues to grow. Alumni can give back, both in time and money, to the program that we hope has provided them with a world of opportunities.
Throughout the year, the Alumni Program will:
- Provide ongoing service opportunities
- Continue to explore social issues
- Provide opportunities for reflection and learning
- Provide opportunities for reconnection and forming new relationships
- Serve as a resource for the Bennion Center community, with special focus on involvement with current student programs and Bennion Center funding needs
- Seek to discover new solutions for our social and environmental problems and new ways to become involved in the community
- Assist individual alumni to discover career and non-career service opportunities throughout their lifetimes.
