The Oxfam Hunger Banquet is an annual tradition for the Lowell Bennion Community Service Center and the University of Utah. The banquet simulates the global inequalities that exist in the real world. After a Hunger Banquet, few participants leave with a full stomach, but all possess a greater understanding of the global and local problems of hunger and poverty and will hopefully be motivated to do something about them.

Before and after the event, local agencies and organizations that deal with issues of hunger, homelessness, and poverty will be present to inform participants of opportunities to get involved on a local level.

Admission is $5 or 5 cans of food; money will be donated to Oxfam and the food will be donated to the Utah Food bank.
