PreLaw Advising

PRELAW ADVISING AND OTHER PRELAW RESOURCES:

The prelaw advisors meet with students by appointment at the University College Advising Center, 450 SSB. Please call 801.581.8146 and schedule in advance. All prelaw students are encouraged to visit with the advisor early in their program so that they are better able to plan their prelaw preparation. Other available resources:

  • Career Library

    390 SSB. Collection of law school catalogs, legal career information, and other prelaw publications.

  • Prelaw Student Society

    (PLSS). Plans activities and lectures of interest to prelaw students. Contact the prelaw advisor for more information.

  • Annual Law Day.

    Every fall a law school fair is held in the Union Building. Law school representatives from across the U.S. are available to talk with students and distribute information. Usually about 80 law schools are represented.

  • Law School Application Workshops.

    Spring and Fall presentations of information on law school admissions and application preparation.

Office Locations

University College has three locations to assist students.

Our main office is located in the Student Services Bldg., room 450.

Our Preprofessional Advising Office, specializing in premedical, predental and more is located in Bldg. 44, room 206

Our Preprofessional Advising for prelaw advising is now located in the OSH Bldg. room 256A.
